I invested several hours the past couple of weeks watching the conventions. I have been most impressed with one candidate–Sarah Palin. This morning a friend of my sent me a link of Sarah sharing for a few moments at her home church in Alaska. Its worth watching.

t,
is it that you impressed about her faith and convictions and that she is a believer? sure, i agree. her testimony maybe a powerful tool for the kingdom, but as a tool to govern the most powerful nuclear proliferate force on the planet? i have to question her 20 months as a governor of a state with a population the size of austin, texas. and i have to question sen. john mccain’s decision ability to make a call like this with very little to no direct relationship with her and her experience. the vetting of this vice presidential nominee was quick to say the least. and being one heart beat away from assuming the role from a 72 year old four time cancer survivor is at best scary for me. just my opinion and like butt-holes everyone has one. i respect your opinion, even if it scares the bajesus out of me to consider.

D,
I hesitated to post this link because my intention certainly wasn’t to start a political debate or conversation. I do appreciate the way and the spirit in which you have written your comment. With that said, I am impressed with Sarah for a couple reasons:
- I didn’t know her faith perspective until this morning. Her testimony was one of the most clear I have heard from just about anyone in the political arena in my lifetime. It excites me to think about having someone in leadership in Washington with her take on God.
- She’s young and she’s not from Washington. I think a fresh perspective would be interesting to insert into the political conversation.
- At first glance, one has to be impressed with the way she has lead in Alaska.
I am not sure a lack of experience is enough to bump Sarah from the qualified list. On the surface, she appears to be a leader. And as you know, leaders have a unique way of figuring out how to make the right decisions at the right time for the right reasons.
Thanks for the comment.

the worms are out and all over dude. palin is ….
just kidding. i won’t say anything other than hello.
cool off topic comment. i got an intern position with Hawaii Winter Baseball. it’s A and AA’s answer to the AAA Arizona Fall League. the owner is a minority owner in the SF Giants. i’ll be working with players, scouts, and baseball execs. pretty cool. should look good on a resume and could be a foot in the door. totally out of left field, but i’d definitely jump on any opportunity it could lead to in the future.
peace
Hey Josh! Thanks for stopping by tomplanck.com.
Jazzed to read the news of your internship. Hope it turns into something more. I’ll expect the hook up on tix!
